Amazing. And according to other polls only 40% would vote for him again. Whatzup?

It's not CNN per say, it's Gallup.
They were the most accurate polling firm by far in last year's elections (Zogby blew most of his polling predictions in 2002).
They are the only polling firm worth paying attention to in terms of measuring Bush's Approval ratings.

Approve - 59
Disapprove - 37
Not bad. The only hold outs are the constant left wing 30%+ extremists that show up on every poll and hate everything.

"And according to other polls only 40% would vote for him again."
This poll shows that 51% would vote for Bush and only 39% for an unnamed Democrat.

Public opinion on the "state of the nation" can be assessed in a review of three key measures: the current president's job approval rating, the public's satisfaction with the way things are going in the country today, and public confidence in economic conditions. These three measures are represented graphically below.

Polls are screwie, so it's important to look at the slant factor.

Nice to see the steady support for our President. You'd never think it was so, to hear the press tell it.

This poll shows that 51% would vote for Bush and only 39% for an unnamed Democrat. Just wait till they get a load of who is actually running. Its early yet, but I smell a landslide of epic proportions.
Keep in mind, even Reagan lost Congressional seats during the midyear - GW gained!

"With CNN in the mix, I can't help but think they did their damndest to keep the numbers low."
In the Newsweek poll it showed that only "44% of people would reelect Bush against an unnamed opponent"
BUT - Gallup doesn't ask if you would vote for an "Unnamed opponent" They ask "An unnamed DEMOCRAT" and that makes a HUGE difference, and that is why Gallup is the best polling firm in the world unlike the (Completely corrupt) Zogby.

Ted is drunk, Hillary is weary of her history, and Tom is disturbed.
Those clever Dems.
The medal tosser Kerry to the rescue.
Aw shucks, that pesky medically unfit Dean is in front.
What's a Demwit to do?
To: nwrep
W is the MAN. He deserves 100%.
To: gore_sux
I've been saying for a month now that GWB43 will obliterate Dean by at least 55% of the vote.
Just watch, when people get to see the real Howard Dean (And when the links between Saddam and AlQaeda are revealed) I'll bet Bush will win with close to 60% of the vote.
