LOS ANGELES (AP) - More than a quarter of California residents were born outside the United States, giving it a higher proportion of foreign-born residents than any other state, according to new census statistics.
A U.S. Census Bureau report based on a 2002 survey found that 27 percent of Californians were born outside the country, compared to 12 percent nationwide. The state was followed by New York with 21 percent and New Jersey with 19 percent.

Any correlation to why that state is so democrat?
Do recent latin and asian immigrants tend to vote anti-gun democrat? or pro-gun conservative?

I just want to know when the Feds are going to go after Lt. Govt Bustamonte for supporting the violent overthrow of California.

I just heard a tape from a MECHA meeting at the University(yes university)of Southern California Riverside. Our beloved ELECTED hispanic government officials had alot of disparaging comments for their white "brothers". Here is one comment, I'm paraphrasing, "The white man is getting old. They are not having babies. They better start voting for affirmative action. This is a power struggle and our race will conquer by a majority of voters. We will take back this country which was once ours". Art Torres's comment, "Prop 187 was the last gasp of the white man". Wake up folks, especially those from other states! These people make David Duke look like Martin Luther King.

They are overwhelmingly anti-gun, especially the hispanics, which have such a large percentage of their number in gangs (only the young gangbangers are "pro-gun" in theory, although almost none of them can legally own a gun due to criminal histories; they want guns, but they don't want anyone else to have one). Welcome to the future of America: Non-English speaking, with a high percentage of foreign born, who have no idea or concept of what America was supposed to be, or what it once was. Our republic, as we once knew it, will cease to exist within 20 - 25 years.

Hispanics are the most virulently racist, and for the males, sexist, folks I have ever been around. I'm sorry, but that is the truth (I was born and raised in California, so my exposure to that racism was immediate).

Similarly to Canada's demographics, Californians of European ancestry are leaving the state, while huge numbers of foreign-born immigrants are arriving. so the percentage numbers are shifitng dramatically.
Of course, the persons leaving both places are the more settled, middle class, tax-paying members of the community.
