It's interesting to see the evolution of police thought over the last 40 years.

After Belzoni I was appointed Chief of Police in Pearl, MS. Hometown was Greenville. When I left Pearl I moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and live in Long Beach now.

If I may comment on your statement. You better believe there has been a change, a real big one. I started in 1960 and have seen the change first hand.

Thanks for the ping!
Too bad about this police officer. I'm sure they will deal with him fairly.
I don't eat catfish, but I'll gladly relieve all y'all of your hushpuppies. ;o)

Razorback-bert tells me: "The very best catfish place is on Tennesse River, south of Pickwick Landing, hushpuppies to die for. " Sounds like just your kind of place.
He's made the rounds of these places and sounds like he knows what he's talking about.
Hope the catfish is better than the BBQ up that way. Ate some ribs at a place in that area a couple months ago that were hideous. Trying hard to forget the name of the place but I may pull out the receipt box and post the name just as a public service.

Nope. You know how us BBQ snobs are. I'll just stick to my own from now on. If the company I'm working for completes its sale and I find myself out of a job I'm considering opening John's BBQ and Computer Emporium. Yall come see me, I'll fix you up.

"...hushpuppies to die for. " Sounds like just your kind of place."Yes sir...it surely does! There is nothing better than a really good hushpuppy. I could eat my weight in 'em.
"John's BBQ and Computer Emporium"
Now that's a very interesting concept. Is it kinda like an internet cafe, only with good food?

Yup. Really good food. Got the food thing down. Got my own internet server and a bunch of old PCs. Still working the kinks out of the BBQ sauce and keyboard interface thing. The money and time I have in that 26' trailer full of grills demand I figure something out anyway. Especially if I find myself joining the ranks of the unemployed as a result of this sellout.

My dad built the Belzoni sewer treatment plant in the early 70s.

Two different points.
The first was simply a personal note regarding my expereinces with Belzoni as an early teen.
The second was a light gesture about Delta Pride catfish.
I'm trying to be exciting...give me some practice laps.
(I looked for a bikini pic btw)
