Hamas issues SOS to the Arab world (Freakin' Crybabies!)
Ha'aretz ^ | Sept. 10, 2003 | Arnon Regular

In an unusual step, Hamas yesterday issued a call for help to the Arab world, citing Israel's assassination attempt on Sheikh Ahmed Yassin's life and the European Union's inclusion of Hamas on its list of terror groups as the reasons.

The organization asked for assistance in its struggle against pressure exerted by Israel and by the West at large, as exemplified by the European Union's recent decision to place Hamas' political wing on its list of terror organizations.

A Hamas circular distributed in the Gaza Strip and on the Internet declared that, "in light of the continuing acts of massacre and aggression, the effort to assassinate Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, the expansion of the war against Hamas, and its inclusion on the terror organization list, we call on the Islamic Arab world to provide help."

The circular called on Arab leaders to denounce Israel's assassination policy, and to take diplomatic steps to alter the EU decision. Hamas also asked religious authorities to issue Islamic rulings compatible with the organization's interests.

Hamas has designated this Friday as a "day of rage" in which rallies are to be staged around the Arab world to protest Israel's assassination policy.

Hamas spokesman Abdel Aziz Rantisi said yesterday that his organization does not unconditionally oppose the selection of Ahmed Qureia (Abu Ala) as Palestinian Authority prime minister. However, Rantisi warned, should Abu Ala "try to go the same route taken by Abu Mazen," and should he try to accept the principles of the Oslo Accords, "he will share the same fate" as Abu Mazen, and his government's days will be numbered.

No, they have to actually cry 'Uncle'.

And stop blowing up bombs on busses and stuff like that.

I don't think this "Day of Rage" will go over well with the American Street.

Instead of planning a "Day of Rage", Hamas should investigate the root causes of IDF operations and not run off half-cocked trying to force its unilateralist message down the throats of other countries.

Israel has got to learn that using bigger bombs causes smaller problems. Senseless to strike at the leader of hamas and only injure him.

Mmy mind understands this to mean

In order to stop us from murdering innocents you will need to wipe us off the face of the earth.

doing what it should have done all along and thats kill their leadership at all levels.

This is the only effective option, anything else only prolongs the agony. It would help if Israel got no grief from the US on this policy.
