Maybe, but not for anything significant. For example, when was the last time you heard of a cop being charged for killing an innocent person?* If they won't eat their own for somthing like that, they sure won't for something as abstract as violating oath of office. I can remember hearing of one case where someone successfully sued a sheriff for improperly denying denying a carry permit, but by the time it was finally resolved both the plaintiff and the guilty party were in their late 70's.
*Like maybe never. Now does this meant that cops never kill innocents, or does this just mean that they get a free pass for illegal and immoral behavior because they're government bureaucrats?
