I don't think he is taking a crack at O'Reilly

Sorry, I disagree. Drudge is obsessed with O'Reilly, and for a few weeks last year leading up to O'Reilly's radio show, constantly berated him for some misunderstanding with the show's announcement. Ever since then, he has maligned O'Reilly on his show intermittently. He just cannot let go.

Notice that O'Reilly was bracketed by the MTV/Bravo programs.

Well O'Reilly is a pompous, self-serving, opportunistic, hypocritical, windbag, so I can't really blame Drudge for having a beef with him.

I wish I had a link to that thread where some researcher applied word counting technology, and found that O'Reilly talked more than the guests he was interviewing.

O'REILLY: I just want to tell everybody that Matt Drudge is smoking crack - right now, in South Miami Beach on Washington Avenue, he has a pipe in his ear. (laughter)

IMUS: He has his own pathetic little radio program that runs Sunday night someplace on some nothin' station ...

O'REILLY: And he smokes crack all during that program. (laughter) And the authorities should know it.

IMUS: He's probably upset with - he's clearly upset with you.

O'REILLY: It's a tragic situation. But it's a disease, Mr. Imus. And there's no cure other than to kill Matt Drudge. (laughter).

Now why would Drudge possibly harbor a grudge against O'Reilly?
