First Ever Mail Defender(tm) System To Protect From Mailed Anthrax Debuts at Global Homeland Security Conference Today in D.C.
New Mail Defender(tm) System Invented and Patented by Michael Lu Who Studied at Harvard and MIT
LEXINGTON, MASS - September 24, 2003 /Xpress Press/ - BioDefense Corporation (www.biodf.com) today introduces the world's first defense against mailed anthrax and other biological agents at the 3rd Annual Global Homeland Security Conference. The conference runs September 24 -26 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington D.C.
The Mail Defender(tm) will provide protection for government agencies, corporations, and key individuals around the world. The Mail Defender MEGA system utilizes multiple technologies, including electromagnetic irradiation (ultra-violet, x-ray, and broadband light beam), oxidization and other commercialized technologies, to destroy many biological contaminants, including anthrax.
The system, two years in development, was invented and patented by Michael Lu who studied at Harvard and MIT. Mr. Lu returned from semi-retirement to lead the project after the loss of close friends and associates in the World Trade Center on 9/11/2001.
Mail Defender(tm) will be manufactured in the USA. The process was validated by U.S. Army funded institutions such as the Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey.
The 275lb system can process up to 15lbs. of mail at 100% effectiveness for many biological agents in 28 minutes. Deliveries for the initial orders are scheduled for January 2004.
