I fail to see the logic in the argument.

Clara Harris killed her husband and will serve 20 years in prison.

The husband is dead, so he can't have custody.

She relinquishes physical custody to the paternal grandparents, the parents of the man she murdered, but by agreement between the parties, retains joint legal custody. It was a compromise between the parties, not a ruling by the judge.

And this has what, exactly, to do with equal rights?

In the meantime, O.J. Simpson has custody of the children fathered with the woman he murdered. Is that equal enough for you?

This Glenn Sachs thing has run on FR within the last week. In that other thread, the link below tells that the grandparents have now given physical custody to some family friends with children the same age.
