I would like to take a moment to ask for donations.
It should be clear to all conservatives by now that the left intends to demonize us. They don't just disagree with us, they hate us. And worse, they want to get other people to hate us.
Places like Free Republic drive the left batty.
Please donate. Thanks for your consideration.

I guess I've been around here for about 6 years or so now. Time sure flies!
When Jim Robinson started this site, it was because he was fed up with the liberal media, and how they would not let people worldwide know about the corruption of the Clinton Administration. A few of us, equally concerned, (with great luck) found it fast.
In the early days, FR was a day-to-day operation, always on the brink of bankruptcy. Jim kept on, and we chipped in when it became too much. We knew how important this site was, and is. Sometimes, it came down to the wire, and we wrote checks, and sent them in, as best we could.
Look at it now. We all get our best information from this site. It is huge, with thousands of posters, and millions of readers. Yet Jim still keeps it alive because of his conviction, and he is absolutely NOT making a profit on it. He just believes. As do we.
BTW, did you know that the founder of this site is in a wheelchair (sorry Jim; I know you think it doesn't make a r*ts a$$ difference. Hey, some folks out there need to come down a peg, like I have.).
Think of it! In the darkest days of the Clinton Administration, there was a lone internet site where people with integrity, brains, and sheer gumption could discuss the dangers faced by the US. Not on CNN, for sure.
Earthmovers like Drudge, Ann Coulter, Rush, WFBuckley, his brother, Savage, Buchanan, both houses of Congress (many) check in to see what we think.
The opposition checks it out, too. Like the NY times staff, CNN, AFL-CIO, China, etc. Trust me, they all come here to read. Even YOUR post. You know by now how they are whining about Rush? We're next, as soon as they figure out how they can trash this site without it getting a million hits.
I've been broke; I've been not broke. I've slept in my car. I know how it feels to be squeezed tight with bills. Folks with giant bills: You're not alone, and you have friends here. :)
If you love this site as much as I do, please, please sign up for automatic payment of just $3 per month. Don't be embarrassed if you think this is too little. It absolutely is not. You $3 a month folks are our grassroots movement heroes. Be proud. Become one of the thousand points of light here, and you will so feel proud every month. We'll thank you for it, and are so glad to have you on board.
I know things are rough out there. But you are tough, and a member of the greatest grassroots freedom movement in 100 years. Together we are making history, and will change the world, as we already have. The best is yet to come.
Most countries out there would consider this website illegal. They hate us, for our freedom. Their systems cannot stand, in the face of Freedom. The people there read us when they can, when they are allowed to, and are not being tortured. They flock to us, America, because they want to be free. Help us help them.
Would you please, please consider signing up for just $3 a month? Please? Thats all it takes, really, believe it or not. You will make a world of difference, to, well, the world. Be proud, Americans, and please help out!

Indeed. However, why didn't the neighbors know she was home alone? This was an apartment complex, after all. TG, her "mother" actually had food in the house or this could have been truly tragic.

This little girl had a gaurdian angel watching over her. It's a horrible story but it shows the resiliance of children. If her mother was unfit she was probably used to taking care of herself.

Note that it takes the mother to be in jail and the kid to be left alone for almost two weeks for the father to get custody. What do you want to bet that the court will give custody back to the mother when she gets out of jail.

Neighbors had called child authorities repeatedly in the past to report that the mom was unfit, according to The Miami Herald. If true, this doesn't bode well for the Bush dynasty.

No offense, but there is something missing from this story.
I have not figured out what it is yet, but something doesn't fit.

I pray not. That would be tragic if the mother got the child back after what the child has already been through.

When you figure it out, please post your thoughts.
All I know is, I am happy the child is ok, and the father is willing to provide a home for her.

Mothers who have done worse and been worse in Florida have gotten their children back when they got out of jail. Right here in my small town it has happened.

Ogden Lee was given custody of his daughter. A spokesman at Wolfson Children's Hospital, where the girl was treated and released late Tuesday, said Brianna was in good condition. Amazing. Miracles do exist.

Please God, let him keep custody.
I am forced to imagine my own 2 year old, my precocious Joshua, who I just had the pleasure of spending an entire evening with solo (he has a cold so he stayed home with me while his 6 year old and 9 month old sisters and Daddy went to a friend's annual bonfire), fending for himself in our kitchen cabinets, eating cookies and crackers and getting himself juice and milk and cheese from the fridge...actually he would do pretty ok; I did call him precocious after all. Thank God Brianna is precocious as well.
I love my kids more than my life. Can't imagine this scenario, so glad she is ok. I bet she clinged to her Daddy.

He found the baby lying in a baby tub with a towel draped around her, said Ken Jefferson of the Jacksonville Sheriffs Department. She was watching cartoons when he walked in. The girls body was smeared with ketchup and mustard, Jefferson said, and feces and urine were everywhere. She had apparently been drinking water from the toilet and the lower part of the fridge had been emptied. Beyond words.
