As a player, Ron Santo was one of my boyhood heroes. He
still is one of my heroes, for his courage and optimism.
GO CUBS!

I wanna see the Cubbies and Red Sox in the world series. Then one of their night mare will end in a world championship not known since the 19-teens!

Sorry to here that. I played sandlot baseball with both Ron and his sister for many years. Other than Ron, his sister was the best ballplayer in the neighborhood.

Our prayers are certainly with Ronnie; his endless optimism is incredible.
