Is this kind of Christianity Christian? By Joan Chittister, OSB The problem with the political agenda of the Radical Right is not that they're wrong. Who isn't concerned about the so-called "moral values" on which this last presidential election is said to have hinged.

Not only that, but it is a phrase which, as used, flies in direct contradiction to Vatican I, Rerum Novarum, and a host of more recent encyclicals. Her concept of "seperation of Church and State," once an Augustinian concept, is pure heresy.

We saw some of that ourselves recently, perhaps. In the middle of a tight presidential election, the question of gay marriage -- a highly debatable and volatile subject which does indeed require a great deal of discussion, a veritable Solomon's circle of thinkers

Debatable? Requires discussion? Since when? Is this woman's first allegiance to God or to the Devil?
