Wallis likes to pretend that all of the people attacking religion aren't from the left.
Beware of Democrats/Progressives carrying Bibles!!
Conservative Christians in today's world oppose murder by abortion, murder by sexual license, murder by tyranny, and murder by terrorism.
Jim Wallis, a so-called "liberal evangelical" supports murder by abortion, murder by sexual license, and murder by terrorism.
Just because we both reject tyrants is no reason for Christians to listen to him.
"Now, he says, Democrats need to get back into the conversation, and these recent moves could be an effective ice-breaker"
This is going to prove to be awfully hard when the Dems are dependent on donations from wealthy anti-religoius types.
The view that gays and abortion are the prime motivators for the emergence of Evangelicals as being firmly on the Right is simplistic. I think it has to do a lot more with the campaigns to remove all symbolism from the public square (spearheaded by self-professed liberals in most cases) and the condescending attacks leveled at even the mildly religious by the MSM. In addition, demographic data on who Evangelicals are and where they live all but dictates that they will emerge on the Right anyway. If it weren't for the left's jihad against the Judaeo-Christian belief system, these same "Evangelicals" would instead be talking about the environmentalists causing hardship for farmers and ranchers or complaining about the erosion of gun rights.
Look who is getting it wrong! I must say quite the opposite is true.
This Wallis guy just seems to want to ignore the abortion issue and change the subject ASAP. I dont think thats gonna work.
Jim Wallis is dangerous to true Christianity. (see my latests posts to see what they're up to now)
I am on their mailing list to keep up with a lot of their silliness. His heresy is crossing into all denominations and people are supporting it without even realizing it, because the leadership of the denomination is doing it without making it clear to the 'grassroots' who pay their bills with their offering money.
Another thing people may not be aware of is that many religious groups have partnered with the UN. Check out
http://www.un.org/dpi/ngosection/asp/form.asp and pull down "all" from the region menu, and 'religion and freedom of beliefs' from the activity menu. Right now there are 62 relgious organizations in the world associated with the UN under that activity. Bread for the World is listed under a different category. You can also search by keyword. Make sure your church or denomination is not supporting the global one world relgion/government.
Is that Hillary -I'll say or do anything to be president-Clinton?
