A pastor and he still supports the Dummos?!! That IS one confused pastor!! Have you asked him about his reasoning in this matter?
Wallis seems to have his priorities out of line. He says the democrats are more in line with Christ's message on poverty, and simply plays up this stereotype that somehow conservatives , even politically conservative evangelicals, are only interested in making themselves and their "buddies" wealthy.
He fails to see, however, that it might be quite possible that conservative evangelicals are concerned with poverty, but that the believe that having a lower tax rate will boost an economy and create the thing that has pulled more people out of poverty than any Great Society (I'm from Eastern Kentucky, I've watched it first hand) social program ever did...jobs.
