I guess we think alike on this issue. One of the lessons learned with regard to the Terri Schiavo case was that I will never put a loved one in a hospice.
I have had misgivings about my husband's death and the involvement of hospice with it.
Brings a lump to my throat right now.
Let me clalrify here.
My husband died at home under the care of Hospice. I can see the good that they did, but it took the Terri Schiavo incident to force me to look at the other side of the situation.
I had considered it all my husband's choice of how to live and die.
I can now see the bad side of what Hospice did.
(It's OK, though, don't worry.) I'm not carrying a bag of guilt around over it, because initially I did not want my husband to cease his treatments. It was, however, his decision to make.
