When obtaining an annulment is merely a matter of paying enough money to the Church's "advocates," the entire matter is nothing but a farce.

If you and your wife entered into the marriage in good faith, there is no substantive reason for an annulment. Obtaining one is an exercise in cynicism.

If you're that cynical about the Catholic Church, why are you even bothering?

I wholeheartedly agree. Did not go through this process myself as it is rediculous to suggest there really was 'no marriage' and I was not going to pay the Church to dredge up old wounds that had healed.cc
