To further the point, God desires all to be saved but He has determined somehow to leave it up to whosoever. That I will never understand. Also, that like the Prodigal son's father, God has determined to allow to make choices in life and thankfully keeps us from other choices. Stories abound of the guy who wanted to take his life and the gun jams and he turns on the TV to a televangelist and his life is transformed.

I think I understand and agree with what you are saying. I think the following is a fair illustration of how God "may" both know the future and still leave us with free-will.

Suppose you have five numbers...(4,6,12,65,226). These numbers represent people. Now, suppose you have four different processes...(+,-,x,/). These represent decisions. It is possible for us to figure out all the different combinations of the numbers and processes if you only use the processes once. So if you get 273 or 179 you "knew" those were possible outcomes.

In an extremely small way I think it demonstrates how God can know what the result will be. Because he knows our hearts, our history, and how we react, he can "calculate the odds" and know what the result will be.

Of course, this is my weak mortal mind trying to understand the infinite immortal way of God. I don't fully understand it, but then again, we come to God through faith, not knowledge.

Sincerely
