A Princeton professor has warned that the scandal of pro-abortion Catholics and its cover-up by bishops threatens more damage to the Catholic Church than the abhorrent scandal of pedophile priests hiding behind their Roman collars to perpetrate crimes against children. This will be even more true in future generations. "Why didn't the Church do anything during the abortion holocaust?"
The Church has spoken out clearly and forcefully against abortion, but many bishops have been dreadfully silent, particularly here in the US.

IMHO, Abortion should have been addressed in the prayers of the faithful at EVERY mass (with the exception of weddings, funerals or similar masses) in the country since Roe v. Wade legalized infanticide.

The reason it didn’t happen: About thirty years ago, 90% of the U.S. bishops grew up in a household in which the father was a member of a union—i.e., hardcore New Deal Democrats. Even today, many priests and bishops will not lift a finger against abortion because they don’t want to do anything that might help a Republican get a vote.
