Hanged for being a Christian in Iran
TELEGRAPH ^ | 11 Oct 2008 | Alasdair Palmer reports

...

A month ago, the Iranian parliament voted in favour of a draft bill, entitled "Islamic Penal Code", which would codify the death penalty for any male Iranian who leaves his Islamic faith. Women would get life imprisonment. The majority in favour of the new law was overwhelming: 196 votes for, with just seven against.

...The new law is not yet in force in Iran: it requires another vote in parliament, and then the signature of the Ayatollah. But that could happen within a matter of weeks. "Or," says Papadouris, "it could conceivably be allowed to drop, were there a powerful enough international outcry"...

May our Heavenly Father bless all who are persecuted for His sake.

Many Christian people have been killed by Muslims just for being Christian. So many reports in the MSM in Nigeria it is very disturbing and sad.

Of course the Muslims are also taking the Philippines by force and we don’t hear anything about it. My friends from the Philippines are very distraught because of what is happening to that country. Seems when the Muslims take a village area it just feeds their frenzy for more. They cannot, will not, be appeased at any price.

And yet Christians are always accused of “forcing” their religion on others !

The ironic thing is that the Armenian community is exempt and the Iranian constitution allows for the free exercise of Christian beliefs so long as you don't try to convert Muslims.

Christians and Jews are even allowed to possess alcohol, which is why the Armenians have done well selling gin and scotch on the black market in Tehran.

And it will happen here!!! - look at all of the movies bashing Christians that Hollywood is throwing at us! Of course there’s Religulous, but the one I’m most afraid of is Silhouette City (http://www.silhouettecity.com). It’s even more insidious because it tries to treat “moderate Christians” (a.k.a. faithless churchgoers) as the heroes and isn’t obviously anti-Christian. Watch out for this one, because it seems to be flying under the radar of sites like this one, but it’s playing all over.
