What happened to the congregation you were pastoring? I don't imagine they turned African-American :P
Uhh...no, they didn't. :)
However, it was/is a very small congregation and it was becoming very difficult for them to support a minister, even after I voluntarily reduced my salary by more than half. Currently, they are relying on supply pastors, but we still enjoy a friendly relationship.
I haven't left ministry, however. At our new church I've been invited to preach several times and am currently leading an adult class on discipleship. Also, I'm a volunteer chaplain with the local Sheriff's Office.
