If you’re Mormon, maybe you can answer a question for me. Since they also accept the Bible, I’ve always wondered what Mormons think of Galatians 1:8-9.
“But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!”
Isn’t the Book of Mormon even sometimes referred to as “another gospel of Jesus Christ?”
Great point. I, too, wonder how Mormons deal with Galatians 1:8-9 as well.
There IS no other gospel than the precious Word of God, the Bible. And whoa! to him who adds to the complete and final Word of God.
“I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.” Rev. 22:18-19
Jesus is THE way, THE truth, and THE life. No one comes to the Father, but through Him. John 14:6
There is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we can be saved.
