When Jesus said, "My sheep know the sound of my voice, they listen to me and obey me..." (the quote you miss by a little in your reply) He was referring to the fact that His Followers are people who are familiar with His teachings (because they have read scripture), and are people who do as Christ taught.

The quote was not God saying that "people of faith today hear His Voice speaking to them." We do not. If God spoke to us today in His own audible voice, that would be proof of His existence. If we had proof, we would not need to have "faith."

Jesus said to the criminal hanging beside him on the cross, "Today you will be with me in Paradise; your faith has saved you."

If Jesus is right (!?!) and it is our faith which saves us, why would God destroy our ability to have faith by giving us proof? You are an imbecile and a deceiver. Not to mention a bonehead.
