Thanks! It sometimes gets a little hostile around here.

Unfortunately, Religion is a hot topic. We all know we’re right and everyone else isn’t.

We’re wasting energy trying to convert the unconverted [to ‘our’ chosen faith] here. Our energies would be much better used in trying to undermine Muhammadanism with cogent intelligent and irrefutable analysis.

Just thought of an idea I’ll have to study . . . sending letters to the editor about Muhammadanism without using the terms Izlam, Muhammad[ism], War on Terror, Terrorists, etc.

I actually find the abuse of keywords quite useful. They show me which threads to stay out of. I need only read the keywords to find if a thread has turned toxic without having to read any of the venomous comments.

I never pay much attention to keywords, but some of the ones on this thread are hilarious!

I used to make comments in my tagline, till you told us to quit it. That was fun.

*sigh*

I understand the desire to avoid keywords that attack others.

But if a thread is posted that is clearly meant to cast aspersions on a religion (like a thread that says someone quit the Catholic church, and lists the reasons the Catholic church is wrong), isn’t the keyword “catholicbashing” an appropriate tag indicating the purpose of the post?

Could you at least suggest another keyword that would indicate threads that are attacks on religions, so that people who search for attacks on their own faith can easily find them and add their defense of their religion?

I really thought that the phrase “xbashing”, where x is the name of the religion, was a good way of doing that.

Perhaps some iron in the glove might be in order if this thread doesn’t work. First offense, a warning; second offense, 12 hours “off;” and scaling up from there.

Using keywords anonymously in such a manner has been a problem on this website for a long time, and not just on the religion forum.

It seems the religion section is so full of rules. I wish the filtering functionality was precise enough to just remove if from my views of FR, while including everything else.

Vision posting meaningless platitudes from uberfraud Joel Osteen, complete with the admonition that nobody better comment negatively or he/she will tattle, just seems out of place here. Let FR be FR!

Thank you. I know people were adding keywords to threads I posted.

If a thread is a Catholic Bashing thread — perhaps all the Catholics need to PRAY for the poster rather than add keywords.

I’m serious!
