There seems to be a collective feeling here on FR that the end times are near. This is evidenced by the sudden up tick in rapture/tribulation/AC/etc. articles over the past 6 months.

True enough. However, what saddens me about all that is that so many consider Christ’s return to be a bad thing.
It’s the sudden uptick in activity in Israel, our efforts to abandon Israel, Obama running around bowing to the descendent of Ishmael and Esau. And I’ve been reading up on the “Mahdi” Messiah that Ahmadinnerjacket believes in, the Twelfth Iman, and how closely it mirrors Christian end-time prophecies.

I read a book a few years ago by Joel Richardson that connected the dots between the Anti-Christ and the Mahdi. I firmly believe they will be one and the same.

Most folks seem to think that the world will have less hours in a day vs less days.

There are some that argue that Rome’s destruction of Jerusalem fulfills many of the prophesies that are used to argue an end time tribulation.
I am of the hope that Jesus does return as a “thief in the night” with everybody living their life as if the universe will tick on forever. No tribulation just God’s penultimate wisdom that the time is right to restore the world.
