that is a good point. It follows then that many if not most food being forbidden by government is really OK since we have always eaten them. As kids we have dropped food and chewing gum in the dirt, picked it up and eaten. (think Boy Scout camping trips) And the stuff they feed the Army in the field would kill a lesser man, but the GI is better for it. I suspect there are many examples where we are conditioned and/or inoculated by past experiences. Considering the many dumb things I have done that are now considered lethal, I know that it is only by the grace of God that I am alive.

I have often said that about not only myself and my brothers, but about my children..who years later informed me of their "escapades". However, we hadn't had any contact with vampires. THAT may have changed the outcome.

It's by God's grace that any of us are still alive but I get your point.

You probably broke thermometers and played with the mercury when you were a kid, I know I did.

Oh, I think we keep our kids way too sanitary. I let my boys play in the dirt, and I’m sure they ate things off the floor. I didn’t encourage it, but heck, we lived a long time before the modern age. Certainly I’m glad we don’t smell like people did before baths, and I do wash my hands before cooking (and I keep a clean kitchen) but that being said, I think it’s bad not to ever challenge your immune system.
