I have already lost a number of friends over the last few days because of this issue. I expect to lose nearly all of them — and a good part of my livelihood as well. I don’t care. I will not yield one millimeter. I will fling my beliefs into their faces with all my strength. I will never accept the validity of “gay marriage”, even if it means going to jail.

I hope that refusing to acknowledge homosexual “marriage” becomes a crime. I look forward to going to jail for this. That’s where a Christian belongs in a pagan culture anyway — in jail, or in the Coliseum. If they don’t hate you, you’re not doing the job Christ sent you to do.

Speaking from the belly of the beast in Connecticut, when gay marriage became legal here a few years ago (dictated by our RINO Gov), it wasn't even front page news in the paper. It featured on local talk radio for maybe two days.

My point is, while your passion is commendable, that strategy simply won't work everywhere.

We might be cell mates. Do you prefer the top bunk or the bottom bunk? That's assuming they don't throw us in solitary for being guilty of "hate crimes". In that case we might have to learn to tap out the prayers of the Rosary in Morse Code on the cell walls. I wonder if that's ever been done before? We'll be classified as "haters". Potentially violent criminals who are a threat to peace-loving homosexuals.

Perhaps they'll send us to Guantanamo.

By that time Castro and communism will be gone and Catholicism will be flourishing once again in Cuba. We'll have come full circle and the good guys will be in Havana and the bad guys will be in Washington.

You must have a special devotion to Maximilian Kolbe. I've got three sons whom I wish to continue to suffer and pray for (back to the pews), so I know they will be able to handle what lies in their future. If I get that far, I'll take whatever comes next ... :)

I think that should the day arrive that allows "them" to criminalize opposition to homosexual marriages and allows Christians to be sent to jail is the day that "they" become the outlaws. This country was founded on Judeo-Christian values and to allow them to take away the rights of Christians in a country founded by Christians is to allow the sacrifices of millions to be in vain.

And don't be deceived into thinking that passive resistance is the way to go. Passive resistance only works when the oppressor has a moral framework to begin with. Had the Japanese reached India, Gandhi's ideas of passive resistance would have ended with his beheaded, bayoneted body floating down the river. The people who we are dealing with have no moral compass and will stop at nothing to silence (permanently) their opposition.

I don't "hope" that...but I acknowledge its inevitability. And I pray for God to give me perseverance when that day finally comes. And I pray that God fills my heart with the charity needed to truly forgive those who will do this to us when the day comes.

And the Father will use the blood of the martyrs the same as He always has done...as sacrifices in union with the eternal and sufficing sacrifice of His Son. And consider the results of the blood of the martyrs during the early years of His Church.
