I think Barry is thinking twenty years down the road when there are enough Muslims in the US to elect a president. I don't think he ever wanted more than a single term in order to get the sort of base he'll have when he's out of office to build foundations and other infrastructure to help build “understanding” in preparation for the election of a Muslim president. Anything he can do to put the economy under the control of the executive branch is a step in the right direction as far as Islamic governance is concerned, hence all of his ‘socialist’ pretensions are just a good front for his real goals.
