Bible distributors who were taken hostage by Somali pirates were killed while negotiations between the pirates and U.S. military forces were underway Tuesday morning.
U.S. forces boarded the yacht in response to gunfire, and discovered that four hostages had been shot. Two of the pirates were killed, and 13 captured in a confrontation, according to a statement from U.S. Central Command. Scott and Jean Adam's vessel Quest was taken hostage last week; 19 pirates were believed to be involved in the hijacking.

Their strong faith is to be admired.

One of these days, I hope we wake up and start taking it to these Sammies BEFORE they hijack a vessel.

This makes them Martyrs...obviously. They knew the dangers, yet did what they were called to do. Special accommodations have been set aside for the murdering pirates...and I’m not talking about 72 virgins.

This made me ill when I heard it. It also makes me mad that this situation with the pirates has gone on so long. I cannot believe the world's navies cannot end the scourge. We will end this madness when those who would consider piracy come to realize that it is essentially a death sentence. When they realize this, this madness will stop. I cannot believe we couldn't end this insanity in just a couple of weeks or a month or two.

Special accommodations have been set aside for the murdering pirates...They will be given left-wing lawyers and Zero will apologize to them for the inconvenience of their capture.
The captain of the vessel that took them should hold a mass trial on board and hang them all; but doing so would be a career ending decision with this miserable administration.

No politician will get them out of THAT one.

I’m no admiralty lawyer, but under maritime law, piracy may still be a capital offense. It just hasn’t been done in a few years.

I wonder why somebody, or some navy, doesn't set up a decoy operation. Set up innocent looking vessels of all types, armed to the teeth, and sail them up and down the Somali coast. As soon as they are approached in a threatening manner, sink the pirate ships. Then kill everyone on board, dump the bodies on shore, and burn them in bacon fat. Make sure to film the entire episode and post it wherever aspiring Somali pirates might see it. Maybe allow one pirate to live, so he can tell the tale.
And maybe drop a few bombs or missiles on the homes of any known pirates, while you're at it.

The sad reality is that we are dealing with a nation, Somalia, which for all purposes has no leadership or government.

Their stupidity got the two people they took on as crew killed. That is not admirable.
