Who is going to save our Church?
Not our bishops, not our priests and
religious. It is up to you, the people.
You have the minds, the eyes, and the
ears to save the Church. Your mission
is to see that your priests act like priests,
your bishops act like bishops, and your
religious act like religious.

Convention of the Knights of Columbus in June 1972

Evidently there are some considering the whole sharing thing that dont know their scripture very well. A dangerous practice.
2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Good, glad he was brought to his senses.

I expect somebody finally got the information to Bishop Jugis, and then ZOT.

“Father Earl was not aware of the Vatican prohibition when he agreed to host the event.”
I try to give other people the benefit of a doubt, but Father is either supremely dumb or supremely dissembling.

If anyone is OK with “interfaith dialogue” in their church, there’s really no point in attending at all. I’m fine with “inter-denominational” dialog, since many Christian denominations have their base in salvation by grace alone, and that being the only way to Heaven.
If, by “interfaith”, they mean recognizing a heathen, i.e., Muslim, “faith”, it’s blasphemy. Any Roman Catholic who thinks that this kind of “tolerance” is reasonable does not believe what true Christians believe. They’d be better off staying home to watch reruns of Andy Griffith or Three Stooges.

I have heard that the Bishop Jugis in Charlotte heard about this idea and told them in no uncertain terms to cancel it. At least that's the local buzz in WNC from the few local Catholics I know at this point.
