I was a hardcore atheist in high school.

Of course you were ...you still are...nothing has changed..

I spent years studying The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

I studied the false religion of Mormonism in one afternoon and had enough common sense to leave it alone..

The glaring comparisons of the book of mormon and the history of Joey Smith to the words of the Bible and Christianity stood out for me as so blatantly false it was shocking

You should have spent years studying the Christian Bible

Then you may have learnt something worthwhile that you could have contributed to the thread... and you would have known the difference between the false religion of mormonism

and the Truth of the LORD Jesus Christ and Christianity..

You can’t have an intellectually honest conversation...like so many liberals I grew up with in Seattle.

LOL, ah yes, the association with 'liberals' insult. Shows who can't hold an intellectually honest conversation eh ben?

I paid for my education through student loans.

And most of mine through scholastic and ROTC scholarships, along with working at up to 5 part time jobs, one of which was my own private business.

You have got to move on in life. You are like a Sierra Clubber crying about “big oil.”

Oh this is rich, is this your Seattle 'intellectually honest conversation' tactic? Or are you so intimidated by the simple facts regarding mormonism that have been whitewashed with a 'testimony' that such an avoidance tactic is necessary? BTW - you prophet and apostles have directed that every member be a witness - are they having problems 'moving on' in life as well? You are still hanging around here posting - are you having problems "moving on" too?

I feel sorry for you now.

Very mormonesque of you - to 'feel'. But after post #163 it is you that deserve the feelings of sorrow for. Your testimony here has been to bear false witness against others and to brag about your works of righteousness. You seem to be so afraid of being Soka Gakkai in the context of mormonism that you have to now project your feelings onto me to avoid the unpleasant truth.

The King James Bible is official bible of the LDS Church and wait for it, wait for it...it is a Christian Bible!!!!

No, I am not an atheist. I know God lives and that Jesus Christ suffered and died for my (and the wole world’s) sins. I know that Jesus Christ overcame death and lives today.

Tennessee is a lovely place. Take care of yourself and those around you. May your heart heal someday.

You do sound like a crying liberal. Just an observation.

Thank you for your service and congratulations on working your way through school. Honorable.

I am not intimidated by any of my beliefs and certainly not intimidated by you. Not in the slightest.

The Soka Gakkai reference was merely an example of when I was consumed with the idea of proving a faith wrong. It gets you nowhere.

You must be a sad person.

Godzilla “playing the ‘sad person’ tactic...”

Really, I wish you continued success in your life.

Ben

Joey Smith had sex with 11 married woman and several underaged girls

One night stands with at least 40 women

at least 40 cases of adultery

and some children from them

40 women only 4-8 children...so much for “building up the kingdom” through polygamy...

He claimed it was his right and he threatened his 1st wife Emma Hale with death if she tried to stop him

Since you claim to be a good mormon you do know of course that both Joey Smith and Briggie Young and the rest of the gang of “prophets” and some apostles etc all claimed that a mormon guy had to have several “wives” fread concubines) in order to get into the mortmon afterlife

In fact the Christian marriage of one man and ONLY one woman was regartded as PROSTITUTION by the mormons

Polygamy is still in the secret sacred teachings and writings of D&C 132 which has never been rescinded or removed or damned...

Its still part of the main theme of mormoni9sm

1. the mormons claim when the mormon jesus returns all mormon males will have multiple “wives”

2. the mormon afterlife is one of a planet a mormon male and THOUSANDS of young willing to please virgins...why stoop at only 72 ???

( BTW that families forever thingy is blown by the fact that Dad will be on one planet...Mom may be on another, daughter will be a virgin to some old geezer somewhere else and son will have his own planet and muliple easy girlfriends)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm What happened to just dust off your shoes at them and go on Ity seems the mormons can leave the so called “church” but the so called “church” cant leave them alone

So true. The Mormons still pursue my wife and I twenty years after we walked out. It gets old after a while, having to constantly disillusion new missionaries.

You do sound like a crying liberal. Just an observation.

Evidently you are not well trained in observation.

I am not intimidated by any of my beliefs and certainly not intimidated by you. Not in the slightest.

Fine ben - since you are so proud of your ability to live the commandments - how are you going to deal with the false witness you've presented here today? Seem like you are in a spot here ben - you've violated a commandment (and probably others during the day too) yet you live the commandments (your words)- sorry ben, that is not living the commandments by any definition.

The Soka Gakkai reference was merely an example of when I was consumed with the idea of proving a faith wrong. It gets you nowhere.

LOL, yet the example still stands ben - do you believe the lie (Soka Gakkai) or are you interested in the truth. To put it another way, are you more concerned about the church being true than finding the truth?

You must be a sad person.

On the contrary ben - since you don't have a clue about me - I am quite a normal, happy person. You need to remember to take the lds glasses off when you view the world ben - they distort reality. Statements like yours are common tactics used by mormons here - they must tear down others so that they can exalt themselves. People who have to resort to those tactics have been shown to be insecure and small.

I know God lives and that Jesus Christ suffered and died for my (and the wole world’s) sins.
_____________________________________________

Kid the mormon jesus “suffered” for your sins in the Garden of Gethsemane

The REAL LORD jesus Christ of the Christian Bible shed His Blood on the Cross and died ON THE CROSS for the sins of the world

Thne Blood of Jesus covers every sin,

the mormons claim that their “victim” mormon jesus could not cover murder...

and while the mormon jesus was forced into the role of “savior”

The Christian LORD Jesus Christ who has always been the Word of God came and gave up His Earthly life for us all

The Lord Jesus Christ said, “The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up againNo one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.” John 10:17, 18

“getting quite the list there AMPU. Maybe you should make a master list.”

Oh, no! Can you imagine the extensive list we could tabulate just from FR??!!

On the other hand, if lies are posted, someone should draw attention to them.
In the end, mormons have feelings, but no facts, evidence or logical argument
to support their wild claims. That leaves lying.

Nice to see you again,
ampu

In Seattle, there are lots of crying libs. You are definitely remind of them.

I find it appalling there are people like you who claim to be Christian but act nothing like it. As if that would persuade me, acting like Mark Halperin’s description of Obama.

Matthew 5:10. I totally get it now. Thanks for showing me the light.

I couldn’t be more happy with my life. Search deep, you are a miserable person. I feel sorry for you.
