Do these teachings apply and if so, would they apply specifically to people like Joseph Smith, Brigham Young and the so-called Book of Mormon? I'd tend to say yes.
I know a couple of Mormons and they are fine people, but
I can't reconcile the anti-Christian theology. At all.
Then again, Romney could be made Pope and I would still shun him.

That’s the problem, there are many ‘fine’ people who are led astray by man made teachings - that’s a given. But pride keeps them there.
