Actually, if you read this post, no. Here the article reveals the real Catholic teaching is the opposite of socialism:

Hard work leads to permanent ownership of earnings and property.

The government must not take too much from individuals.

No one has a claim on charity, which is distinct from justice (ownership). That means no one can make you perform charity against your will.

The leftist clerics of today have hijacked these lessons, calling socialism and redistribution "social justice," and the uncritical among us (everybody) have gone along with the lie.
