Excellent! I don't know how old all of you are but I was born at the end of 1963 and my whole life has been nothing but great big huge upheaval of the Church and culture. So what chance have the younger ones? I was 11 when my first friends parents got divorced and i heard all about the affair her dad had and etc.

I fear this (hedonism etc) has been going on so long there is not much that is going to curb it.

It is frightening to be a parent these days. Our two (5 and 7) go to a small Catholic school and luckily have very sweet friends. We don’t have TV in the house and don’t listen to any current music. We are trying to show them, carefully, just how inappropriate and harmful the culture is out there and thankfully my daughter (the 7 year old) seems to get it somewhat.

My husband and I were 80’s kids, far from prudes, yet I think that a time traveller from the 80’s even would be grossed out by the way things have degraded, so my hope is that by the time my kids reach high school, and we are no longer able to filter their environment to the extent that we can now, the shock of reality will be enough to repulse them, rather than entice them.
