He would be most disappointed in the outcome of this phrase: “to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed”

Thank you for citing this appeal to which our first Chief Magistrate put his approving signature. It is worth pondering on long enough that it becomes an indispensible part of a true American citizen's credo.
