Thank you, a rewarding read.

Increasingly we see evil gaining ground in this country and the world. We can't stand around and "water down The Gospel" so people won't be offended.

You don’t believe Catholic are saved; they will go to hell.
Catholics don’t believe you are saved; you will go to hell.
Thank goodness, God doesn’t listen to either of you - He decides.

“That there are true Christians who trust the blood of Jesus Christ alone to make their garments white who worship in the Roman Catholic church is no less extraordinary for being true. They are the exception that proves the rule.”

It really doesn’t prove the rule. The inconvenient fact is that most people get their brand of Christianity from their family, their culture, or by accident of birth. Most love Jesus and accept hat he died for them.
This includes most Catholics I know. I am not a Catholic and am actually a Baptist. But although I do not believe many Catholic doctrines, I fully accept that they are as likely to be saved or not, as are the members of any other Christian church.

And as an aside, this legalistic crap is anti-Christian, and only serves the enemy. That is my fatwa.

Praying for you. It must be sincerely miserably to lead such a narrow, angry life.

Keep up the good work mom. I don't care what the peanut gallery says or thinks. 😇 After I got saved, I stayed in the Catholic Church for awhile, then I dumped it, because I no longer bought their doctrines.

Acts 15
7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;

9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

13 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:

14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:

20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

It would be great for you guys if "faith alone" was actually in the bible. Too bad Luther penciled that in -- or do you prefer to say that he "clarified" God's word?

But there are Christians in the Catholic Church. I’ve met them. Lots of them. They do believe in Jesus. They do trust in God’s grace and mercy.

They interpret “make sure your calling” differently than you.

2 Peter 1: 10 Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall, 11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

>> “ and that it is the job of the Church to make disciples of all men, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit” <<

.
Not according to Peter!

“make disciples of all men, baptizing them in the Name of Yeshua” is what Peter taught.

Acts 2:38

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Mom, “The LORD God [is] my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ [feet], and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.”

He is my strength too!

I married into a Catholic family, and I know and understand. I also am a student of one who has challenged Catholic beliefs, belief systems and theology, a person who has challenged the likes of Cardinal Newman, of whom he had some dialog. (Cardinal Newman was first an Anglican priest).
