The Church of England is set to signal to members that speaking openly about their faith could do more harm than good when it comes to spreading Christianity.
Stark new research findings being presented to members of the Church's ruling General Synod suggest that practicing Christians who talk to friends and colleagues about their beliefs are three times as likely to put them off God as to attract them.
The study, commissioned privately by the Church of England and a coalition of other Christian groups, also found that four in ten British adults did not even think that Jesus was (a) "real person who actually lived".
Meanwhile, a third of those surveyed said they were not aware of anyone they know being a practicing Christian. ...

“Especially if it involves Jesus being the Son of God, since the Koran declares multiple times that Allah has no son”
allah (I refuse to capitalize the curse of a name) is an the pagan moon “god” of the Nabateans , a heathen idol.
Psalms 96:3) Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
(Psalms 96:4) For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
(Psalms 96:5) For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
I love this verse in Proverbs :)
(Proverbs 30:4) Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?
This is the time to speak unashamedly about Christianity.
I just ordered a Celtic Cross pendant and intend to wear daily.
Make no mistake, I want everyone to know I’m a Christian and mean it.
I guess I know who’s in charge of that *church*, and it isn’t Jesus.
Church of England - Like Unitarians now a church of indecision!

This is the same line of thinking that says”spread the Gospel, use words if necessary”. Pure Satanic claptrap.
What faith? I thought they gave that up a long time ago.
The Church of England must regard itself as a social club. Paul had written in Romans 1:16 that he is not ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God for everyone who believes.
In fact, John 6:27-69 shows that Jesus had gone into high gear expressing his faith in order to discourage non-believers from following him.
There are more relics of old dead churches in Britain then working ones. Christianity is on the way out across the pond and the majority does not seem to care. The media has killed everyone.
This is Christianity’s death-spiral.
Bishop and pastors who say this are already memorizing the Shahada.
Shame on those cowards.
We should live so that people know we are Christians they can respect and admire without having to say a word, but we should also speak out about the Gospel and spread God’s word using God’s words. He chose His words wisely, and that is a huge advantage over using our own words or no words at all.
Christians provide the “talk” while the Mohammedans provide the “action”.
Oh for another Day of Pentecost!!
