Lol, it explains nothing.

Jesus said he would rise on the third day.

The third day in the Bible is defined as the day after tomorrow.

According to Luke 24, the first day of the week ( Sunday ) was the third day since he was crucified.

If Sunday was the third day, Saturday was the second day and wait for it,
Friday had to be the day he died.

What do you know, the orthodox historical Faith is right sgain.

The idiot who wrote this article doesn’t realize if he died on Wednesday, that means he would have risen on Friday.

Go ahead and swallow the kool-aid.

The Gregorian calendar is wrong.

Scripture is consistent with itself and cannot be wrong.

What’s wrong is the *orthodox historical faith* that assigned the day He died to Friday and had Him rise on Sunday.

Matthew 12:4 For as Jonas was in the whale's belly three days and three nights: so shall the Son of man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

So which is wrong? Jesus or the Gregorian calendar?

Did Jesus lie?

Except He was much more specific then what you're letting on.

Mat 12:39 But He answered and said to them, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
Mat 12:40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Question: How many hours was Jonah in the fish? And did Jesus know the number of hours?

Jon_1:17 Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

Three Days and Three Nights

Subtitle Oh the humanity!
Subtitle 2: Comprehension/Retention failure.

Note: The heart of the earth is not the grave!

Yeshua makes two separate yet very similar statement in the book of Matthew, here they are.

Matthew 12:38 Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”

39 But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

And

Matthew 16:1 Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing Him asked that He would show them a sign from heaven. 2 He answered and said to them, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; 3 and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. 4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.” And He left them and departed.

The second statement has no 'three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.' Well, if you read from chapters 12 to 16 you'll find there's three days and three nights between these two statements!

Follow the rabbit trail...

Matthew 13:1 On the same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea. 2 And great multitudes were gathered together to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore...

...Matthew 15:32 Now Jesus called His disciples to Himself and said, “I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat. And I do not want to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.”

Ergo: The heart of the earth is the region of Galilee

Another Yonah link:

Luke 8:22 Now it happened, on a certain day, that He got into a boat with His disciples. And He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side of the lake.” And they launched out. 23 But as they sailed He fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy. 24 And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!”

Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm. 25 But He said to them, “Where is your faith?”

And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, “Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!”

Yeshua and Yonah were both asleep in a ship in a storm, both were awakened but the stories have different results.

But this brings us to another question?

Yeshua says A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah

Wicked and adulterous? You'd think they'd be in the same category but they're not. The wicked, well they are headed to Gehenom, nothing else to add there. The adulterous, married but they fool around, as in hanging out with Jezebel. I'm not going into all the verses here except to list a couple.

Note: Sexual immorality is a metaphor for false teaching.
See: Proverbs 7 and Revelation 2:20

Which brings us to, what is the sign for the wicked and adulterous? Another Yonah reference.

2 Kings 14:25 25 He was the one who restored the boundaries of Israel from Lebo Hamath to the Dead Sea, in accordance with the word of the Lord, the God of Israel, spoken through his servant Jonah son of Amittai, the prophet from Gath Hepher.

Sign of the prophet Yonah, the restored borders of Israel,
1967, the Six Day War

Psalm 49:4 I will incline my ear to a proverb; I will disclose my dark saying on the harp.

Google: harp sea of Galilee / parables... it goes on a bit...

BTW, the 'trinity' description of GOD is nonsense!
