The Catholic Church is sliding into another post Vatican II implosion, or maybe just deeper into the collapse already begun back then after a bit of a sanity hiatus.
It would be the latter: deeper into the collapse. The bit of sanity was merely a mirage. But again, the Catholic Church can not defect. So Catholics need to determine what happened decades ago to start the apparent decline.
