I fully expect the Catholic Church to select the next Pope from either Ethiopia or Nigeria.

Unless of course the Marxists and Churchians are rooted out and expelled.

But I don't see that happening.

Not very many Catholics in Ethiopia. I don't believe they've a Cardinal in the country.

The Nigerians are typically very orthodox. A Nigerian Pope would probably be a blessing.

Cardinal Sarah is from Guinea, not Nigeria, but he would make a fine Pope. No Latin Americans, please.

Usually Ethiopians and Nigerians are very conservative and traditional, at least that’s the case with Lutherans; I doubt the Marxists would go for them at all.
