You are correct.
The bottom line=believing Jesus dying on the cross for us sinners and forgiveness of sins. That is all. Something where Catholics and Evangelicals can agree. Where we are unified. What leads to our eternal home.
All the rest leads to debate when discussing Scripture v Traditions. We need to focus where we do agree. Now is not the time for us to be battling each other.
Yet our Catholic friends suggest it’s Jesus plus works. And doing a whole bunch of other stuff.
