I got out of the Church of Rome 35 years ago and am so grateful that the Holy Spirit dropped the “scales from my eyes” so that I could see that it is Satan’s greatest work of deception.

You, my friend, are deceived if you think Christ can be separated from the Church which is His Body.

I think I may know what you mean by that.

I think there could be many, many other 'works of deception' though.

Where else would the thing that seeks to make itself as High as God, that seeks not restored, rightful relationship for mankind toward the Holy Creator go; to ensnare, then enslave massive numbers of people by way of mixing-up and confusing things? Places where people congregated, seeking the Lord?

As last ditch effort, the evil one has to try and hold the line in those places, although the "thing" does encounter great defeats there too. Despite whatever loses suffered, the foe keeps on fighting, intensifying effort whenever allowed (it knows it's time is short). Past losses don't stop ongoing effort to wriggle in through any crack, or bust through side-door windows, reaching through trying to grab the inside doorknobs.

Pretty much anywhere, eh? Not just within Roman Catholicism.
