Our faith teaches us that Jesus didn't need to be circumcised, and Mary didn't need to be purified because they didn't have 'original' sin, but were simply fulfilling the law so as to give the example of obedience to the law and so as not to bring unwanted attention to themselves or Jesus by scandal.

And Catholics wonder why people claim the Catholic church teaches sex is wrong and marriage is degraded.

A man's anatomy is designed for one purpose and it isn't for reliving himself. A man doesn't need his anatomy for that purpose. It serves only one other function.
