Care to prove anything I have posted as being “bald-faced” lies?

Go back to the parts you copied and pasted in post 11. Pretty much every single point is either cherry-picked, misquoted, partially quoted out of context and, YES, plain baldfaced LIES all designed to provoke hatred of a man who has been dead for five hundred years and, by association, every "Protestant". If I thought for even a minute that you would hear and consider the actual facts, I'd take the time to answer each one but I already know from past experience, it would be a total waste of my time. Care to deny that?

You should be.

Why shouldn't I be? I deal with them almost on a daily basis.

Judas Iscariot has been dead for over two thousand years. I don't pine his passing anymore than Luther's. But I still pray for their souls because, unlike you, I don't know who is in Heaven and who is Hell.

Dr. Martin Luther was a vicious antisemite, hating even the least of the Messiah's brethren.

In an uncanny corollary to history one might regard as stranger than fiction, there literally were two Dr. Martin Luthers.

  1. The first Martin Luther (November 10, 1483 - February 18, 1546) wrote the blueprint for the Holocaust with a seven (or eight) point plan, literally his own words. I wish and I ask that our rulers who have Jewish subjects exercise a sharp mercy toward these wretched people, as suggested above, to see whether this might not help (though it is doubtful). They must act like a good physician who, when gangrene has set in, proceeds without mercy to cut, saw, and burn flesh, veins, bone, and marrow. Such a procedure must also be followed in this instance. Burn down their synagogues, forbid all that I enumerated earlier, force them to work, and deal harshly with them, as Moses did in the wilderness, slaying three thousand lest the whole people perish.

  2. The second, Martin Franz Julius Luther, (16 December 1895 – 13 May 1945) attended the Wannsee Conference on 20 January 1942 as the representative of the Foreign Ministry, and after that his principal task was to persuade or pressure German satellites and allies to hand over their Jewish populations for deportation to the death camps. During this period, he also continued to work as an interior decorator for Ribbentrop's wife, helping her with the design of her various houses as well as her clothes. He resented this, stating that she treated him like one of her household servants.

You have yet to prove that the effort would not be a waste of time (save for educating others).

Have fun with that bowl of rotten cherries that keeps getting passed around from mouth to mouth among the Romish bigot crowd (who are more 'Catholic' than the Pope, dontcha' know!).

And how would you know that; seeing that you're not even a Catholic?

You have yet failed to even attempt to disprove the alleged “lies”.

I've done it PLENTY of times. I can't help it if you refuse to hear and be corrected. That you continue to paste negative things about Luther that have already been disproven, shows that. When I know you are honestly considering the answers, then perhaps I will.

Here, we'll run a little test for you.

Your post 11 says this about Martin Luther:

Luther, an ordained priest and consecrated religious, wantonly broke his vow of celibacy to God, and married a nun, also under a vow of celibacy.

The truth?

Luther was excommunicated from the Roman Catholic church in 1520. In 1525, Luther married Katherine von Bora, a novice fifteen years younger than he who he had helped escape from a convent.  The couple had six children. Obviously, he was no longer a priest of the Roman Catholic church. He didn't even marry until FIVE years after his excommunication. So, no, he did not "wantonly" break his vow to God. His wife I learned recently, was not fully a nun but a novice who had been placed in a convent as a young girl by her peasant family. She had not taken vows.

But to show how duplicitous Catholics can be, both priests and nuns CAN choose to leave their vows and marry and remain Catholics. So, what's the big deal with Luther doing so? He didn't stop being a priest because he wanted to have a wife - he didn't expect he would ever be married, but God had other plans for him. They married and had a large family. Where was their sin??? You have POPES that had mistresses and gay boy toys IN the Vatican and some who promoted their own illegitimate children as bishops, cardinals and popes! Hypocritize much?

You can go here and look up pretty much every supposed statement Luther made that Catholics like to trot out to condemn him and all those non-Catholic Christians who came after him should you want to look up the other false accusations: http://beggarsallreformation.blogspot.com/p/luther-exposing-myth.html

Excommunication is not a “free-pass” for one to freely sin.

It's gotten pretty humorous how many times we see the same flimsy arguments and lies against Martin Luther on these threads and answered them with the facts. But, like whack-a-mole, they keep popping up again and again as if they had never heard any different. Either they have perpetually plugged up ears (and hearts) or the truth doesn't matter. Maybe it's because:

Okay, so what "sin" do you think Luther freely committed? He was no longer a Catholic priest, he married a woman who was not a Catholic nun. Is Catholicism against marriage now?

So, tell me, are you going to continue to post the lie someone made about Luther “wantonly breaking his vow of celibacy” or will that remain on your list of things to condemn Luther over? Did you go to the site I gave and look up some of the other doozies? I pretty much already know the answer to both those questions.

Oh, I get it. If one is no longer Catholic, one no longer sins.

How convenient.

Luther did break his vow of celibacy.

What’s your point?

Thanks for this article. As you can see the title was too tempting for a few RCs to ignore. One would think with the availability of nearly all of Martin Luther's writings, sermons and letters already translated and online, they would go there first to research the actual teachings of the man - they were very theologically deep and well thought out - rather than keep repeating the snippet hunting RC "apologists" with chips on their shoulders semi-quote. I guess to admit Luther was right about ANYTHING is a bridge too far. Their loss.

I'm not a Lutheran but I have come to respect and admire the man for his courage, tenaciousness and love for God the more I read of his work.

>>Nope. I just know no created being can keep the Ten Commandments.<<

Baptized newborn infants who die shortly after their births have kept the Ten Commandments.

The Scripture again disagrees with Roman Catholic, or perhaps just your understanding of this issue.

Baptizing an infant does not save them and was a practice not attested in the New Testament.

David understood he was a sinner from birth as indicated in Psalm 51:5

The age of accountability comes into play in this discussion. 2 Samuel 12:21-23 gives us an indication of what happens with little ones when they die.

The Blessed Mother kept the Ten Commandments, but then again I'm aware of your enimity against Her.

You mistake my enmity against the false teachings of the Roman Catholic church regarding their version of Mary.

I accord to Mary what the New Testament records about her...she is counted blessed. She is the mother of Christ.

Anything beyond that goes beyond what we have in the New Testament and begins to move into the contradictory claims of the ECFs and dogmas that developed over time in Roman Catholicism.

For starters her name is Mary...not the Blessed Mother.

Two, she did sin in that she offered the sin offering after Jesus was born.

Luke records her as saying, "And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. She knew she was a sinner in need of salvation.

If you want to appeal to the ECFs we can do that also....as a number indicate she did sin.

The angels in Heaven, who cast Luther into Hell, have kept the Ten Commandments.

Wow...ebbtide is judge and jury on what happened to Luther.

The saints in Heaven are keeping the Ten Commandments.

I didn't think a person could be as obtuse about these things but you continue to surprise me. No one sins in Heaven.

All of the above are "created beings" of God.

I didn't think one person could post so many errors in one post but you have.

>>....get used to the idea that Martin Luther is already there and has been beholding the face of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ for the past five hundred years.<<

I didn't know you were omniscient. Can you please tell who is in Hell, also?

Pot meet kettle.

The angels in Heaven, who cast Luther into Hell, have kept the Ten Commandments.

In your hatred of Luther you contradicted your own position. LOL!
