Vatican Invites Governor Jerry Brown to Give Keynote Address on ‘Climate Change’

The Pontifical Academy of Sciences has invited California governor Jerry Brown to deliver a keynote address in their upcoming meeting on climate change to be held in the Vatican.

The Nov. 2-4 Vatican workshop titled “Health of People, Health of Planet and our Responsibility: Climate Change, Air Pollution and Health” will attempt to link up the health risks posed by air pollution with anthropogenic climate change driven by carbon emissions.

This is not the first time the Vatican has offered a platform to the contentious California governor from which to proclaim his views on global warming.

Invited to speak at a similar Vatican event in 2015, Jerry Brown, a darling of Planned Parenthood, railed against climate-change skeptics, calling them well-financed “troglodytes” who are determined to “bamboozle” the gullible.

The Vatican hosted 10 U.S. Democrat mayors as well as Governor Jerry Brown of California at its event, while no Republicans were present. At the conclusion of the event, Brown joined the other politicians in signing a declaration stating that “human-induced climate change is a scientific reality, and its effective control is a moral imperative for humanity.”

In his address, Brown said that climate change is “the biggest threat of our time” after nuclear annihilation. “If we don’t annihilate ourselves with nuclear bombs then it’s climate change,” he said.

Too bad that Stalin and Mao are dead, or Francis could invite them, too.

lol.

We survived the dark days of obama never thinking our savior would be a NYC real estate guy who gave mixed political signals through his life.

God works in his own way and on his own time.

Maybe the next pope will be a Trump :)

Is this post a joke? Do you, Catholic or not, see nothing disturbing about Jerry Brown’s being invited to speak at the Vatican?

No it’s not a joke but you sound like one :)

What do you want me to do? And yes I’m Catholic

No one’s forced to follow a pope that’s doing things that are obviously wrong.

Save your self righteous indignation for something you can do something about.

Some Catholics here seem like utterly lost and flustered sheep because there’s an atheistic pope.

The Bible is there for guidance.

You’re not 10 years old.

This is laugh out loud absurd. Unbelievable.

If it were possible to impeach a pope, I as a Roman Catholic would volunteer my time and money to impeach Pope Francis.

He is the worst pope my lifetime, spends 90% of his time on stupid left wing politics.

Gov. Brown, the buddy of Rev. Jim Jones, knows nothing about climate change. He can’t even run his state.

I would think that Alberta’s government officials threatening to outlaw Catholic school teachings would be a higher priority.

I am starting to believe in global warming.

I think the hot air coming out of the mouths of the pope and Jerry Brown are key contributing factors.

New reports state that EPA administrator Pruitt’s family are now threatened.

What a Surprise! NOT! Is anyone surprised that the party of Antifa threatens? Inexpensive, abundant energy is exactly what Obambi tried to destroy. Look up phraseology like ‘keep it in the ground.’ Obambi and Billary supported selling coal to the Chicoms, so it is not about not burning coal, it is about America not burning coal, or natural gas, or any thing else that will make America great. American companies left the continent in search of inexpensive, abundant energy. They will return to an America with inexpensive, abundant energy. We have only drilled a few short miles into the Earth. There is so much oil, coal and natural gas, only a fool (or an Anti American President) would support ‘keep it in the ground.’
