A) Slaughtering entire populations was quite common in this historical area. Equating that to modern day ISIS is beyond stupid because we’re not living in the Bronze age. B) Canaanites worshiped Baal and Molok, gods that required regular sacrifices of children into burning metal idols. Cry me a river about having their civilizations destroyed.
