One of my first "WTH moments" for this pontificate, was way back in the early days of 2013 when Francis said that Jesus did not actually become angry with the Apostles when they failed to understand him but was only pretending!

This latest head-scratcher, therefore, is perfectly consistent with his theme of the never angry, always merciful God whom we should never fear. It also explains his own outrageous and cavalier attitude towards doctrine and his heretical prattle to Scalfari about the nature of hell and eternal damnation.
