Satan, the prince of darkness and disobedience, is transformed into light?
I don’t think so.
It’s not the obvious that is hard to discern. They that plainly denounce and persecute Christianity are obvious, even to the indifferent. It’s those that pervert the gospel with doctrines of devils that Paul, Peter, John, and Jude warned of.
Paul, speaking to the church in Corinth, warned them of being deceived by those that preach “another Jesus”, getting down right blunt:
“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” 1Cor. 11:13-15
Who did Jesus Christ rip for ungodly behavior?... Not Caesar’s empire; but those that claimed to be the followers of God.
Were the Pilgrims fleeing the armies of France? No, they were fleeing so-called Christians in England.
