No, Jews and Arabs share a common genetic heritage because they are both Middle Eastern Semitic people descend from the same ancestors thousands of years ago, in the neolithic era, not because of some kind of mixing that happened after the Muslim conquests.

Right, but the article implied that it was something modern, so that was the assumption I was operating under.
