Is a Jewish guy from NYC having a goy lawyer as unusual as I think, or am I being some kind of -ist for even observing this?

It's true that Cook is a Polish name. No! Worse, yet, it's an American name now! It's not very German at all... I'm joking!
Sincerely, a good answer might be in the Book of Esther (Mordechai, Ahasuerus, and all)...and the story of Daniel...and Abraham in Egypt...or...maybe the story of President Trump, Rabbi Rubashkin and Israel! We'll see.
Anyway, the answer is *not too unusual.* One never really knows who one might meet. Might be a friendly, or even a kindred soul.
[I'm not Jewish and am not qualified to answer any of these questions. But as seen in jjotto's tagline, "Ya could look it up."]
