The Vatican and the Italian Church have lost the battle over the introduction of an Italian euthanasia law without fighting according to the former archbishop of Ferrara-Comacchio, Italy, Monsignor Luigi Negri. For Negri this is “serious and sad”.

Talking to La Fede Quotidiana (December 2017) Negri said that this state of affairs evoked in him “bitterness and disappointment”.

To the question whether he would have expected clearer words from the bishops and from the episcopal leadership, Negri replies, “I no longer expect anything from anyone.”

La La Fede Quotidiana points out that the Polish bishops have succeeded in changing politics by raising their voice. Negri comments, “The Poles are always ready to assume their responsibilities and are ready to be a living presence."

When it comes to countries legalizing abortion, euthanasia and homo marriages, Francis won't get involved. But when it comes to sovereign countries trying to defend themselves against illegal, invading infidels, Francis will be the first to attack those countries, including the U.S.

Life! God’s first gift to man. God breathed it into man at creation, and He has a much higher regard for Life than man. After the flood God said that any man who took another mans life must surrender his own Life - not as punishment, nor as a warning, nor as restitution - but because Life is sacred in God’s eyes, and must be preserved as our most precious gift.

But than was then, this is now . . .

If anyone should know about the evils of euthanasia, it’s the Poles. Hold fast.

It passed. It's some of the most extreme anti-life legislation in Europe: not even a "conscientious objector" clause to accommodate doctors, nurses, and other health professionals--- let alone institutions --- which can't in conscience participate in any way in this travesty.

I am totally disturbed by this: disheartened, and disgusted.
