But letting rapists, head choppers/murderers into your country has nothing to do with violence?

"RACISM is sinful. We are all one human race originating from Adam and Eve. Bearing the image of GOD.

Who said that Islam was a race. This issue is about uncontrolled migration into the nations. As much as it is a clash of cultures, it is also a clash of the affected nation's infrastructure: housing, transportation, sanitation and law enforcement. It is also impacts employment, wages and living standards. Those who throw out denigrating words for those concerned about the socioeconomic consequences of excessive migration have no clue. Spouting sanctimonious king of the mountain cliches are immaterial to the situation.

When people accuse President Trump of being racist for his proposals to build a wall on our southern border. That’s what I’m referring to.

I don’t believe this. The Pope is an idiot. Benedict should never ever resigned. He needs to come back and throw this commie bum out.

So tear down the wall around the Vatican and open doors to feed and house the migrants in the Vatican.

But isn’t it like a rule that for your salvation you have to believe the Pope?

It's a little bit more complicated than that. The quote comes from a Papal Bull, Unam Sanctum, written by Pope Boniface VII in 1302 against King Phillip of France.

The quote to which you are speaking is, Furthermore, we declare, we proclaim, we define that it is absolutely necessary for salvation that every human creature be subject to the Roman Pontiff.

Note it says "be subject to" (the authority of)...not that we have to believe each and every utterance of the Roman Pontiff.

As an American Citizen, I am subject to the authority of the United States...I am required to obey the laws. Not that I am required to believe everything that comes out of the government. As a Catholic, I am required to obey the laws of the Church and to believe the infallible "Magesterium" of the Church, not that I am required to believe every utterance of a member of the clergy (from a transitional deacon to my bishop to the Pope).

One thing that a lot of non-Catholics have a hard time with is the concept of Papal Infallibility (sadly, a lot of Catholics have a hard time with the concept as well). Without going into a bunch of theological minutiae, it is not an every day thing and most particularly doesn't apply when a pope opines about global warming, the minimum wage, universal health insurance, or immigration policy.

Never ceases to amaze how Catholics run from this when it’s published. US doesn’t leave the wiggle room Roman Catholics claim. It is an absolute claim to full authority by the pope.

Do Catholics really believe this?

No.

This man who claims to be Catholic and pope is spreading lies and confusion and is not to be trusted.

But Benedict was the one who allowed the molestation of (mostly) little boys to continue for so long.

You wouldn’t put your soul in that basket would you?

>>Do Catholics really believe this?<,

No.

This man who claims to be Catholic and pope is spreading lies and confusion and is not to be trusted.

Catholics may not believe it but they really have no choice in the matter. The statement by Boniface was that sweeping.

Thus, it was concluded, the temporal authorities must submit to the spiritual authorities, not merely on matters concerning doctrine and morality: "For with truth as our witness, it belongs to spiritual power to establish the terrestrial power and to pass judgment if it has not been good." The bull ends, "Furthermore, we declare, we proclaim, we define that it is absolutely necessary for salvation that every human creature be subject to the Roman Pontiff."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unam_sanctam

Yet when non-Catholics reject Roman Catholicism we are told there is no salvation outside of the Church [Roman Catholic]....which comes from this Bull issued by Boniface.

Boniface was claiming absolute power over all affairs.

Roman Catholics like to have it both ways. They want to claim Roman Catholicism is the only "true" church; yet when this part of Unam Sanctam is brought up, they reject it when they don't like what the pope is doing.

This pope is making a better case for protestantism than luther.

Why does anyone think this person is on the side of Christianity?

How much energy has Pope Francis expended on correcting the causes of mass migration into the West? Zip, zero, nada.

The ‘mass migrants’ really celebrated peace and Mary in France, didn’t they? 1000 cars burned, a policewoman stomped. Maybe Francis should go live there for a while instead of behind the Vatican Walls.
